Title: David Adam's Onion Board Abm
Categories: Breadmaker
Yield: 1 Loaf

BREAD
1tbYeast
3cFlour
1/2tbSugar
1/2tbSalt
1tbOil
1cWater; warm
TOPPING
2lgOnions; chopped
2tbButter
1tbOil, olive
1/4cCheese, cheddar, shredded
1/3cCheese, romano, grated
  Cornmeal

Pour bread ingredients into breadmaker. Select "white bread" and "dough" cycle and start machine.

Saute onions in butter and oil in iron skillet over medium-low heat. Cover the onions, and let them steam until transparent (about 10 minutes). Set aside to cool.

When machine beeps, remove dough and roll it 1/2" thick into 14"x10" rectangle. Transfer it to oiled baking sheet sprinkled with cornmeal. Let rise 90 minutes.

Preheat oven to 400. Spread onions over dough. Sprinkle with cheeses. Bake 20 minutes, until done.

Sylvia's comments: the ABM part of this worked fine, and the dough rose and baked well. However, it was just too much trouble for the result, which was okay but unexciting. I won't bother with it again.
